Susan Wood
Susan Wood Richardson is an internationally published photographer and journalist whose editorial and advertising work appeared regularly in Vogue, Look, Life, People, and New York Magazine throughout the 1970s and 80s. A winner of multiple Art Director and Clio awards, her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide.
Susan was a regular contributor to Look Magazine — most notably for a cover story on John Lennon and Yoko Ono — and served as stills photographer on the set of Easy Rider. Her subjects have included Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, John Wayne, Betty Friedan, Martha Stewart, and Norman Mailer, among many others. She is co-author of Hampton Style (Little Brown, 1992), a Literary Guild selection for which she shot over 250 original photographs.
Named one of Mademoiselle's 10 Women of the Year in 1961 and a founding member of the Women's Forum, Susan holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College with graduate work at Yale University School of Art and Architecture. Her work is represented in the Library of Congress and by Getty Images.
